Screening industrial sludge as a part of soil decontamination process in France

From 2009 to 2017, 5 Remu screening buckets have successfully been part of soil decontamination works on one of the largest remediation site in France (former"Poudrerie" of Angoulème, SNPE site).

These buckets have been used to screen about 177 hectares of very sticky materials such as industrial sludge (resulting from the mixing of soil and water, to avoid any risk of explosion during the process), composed of nitroglycerin and nitrocellulose.

Since their first tests in 2009, Remu screening buckets proved they were more efficient and productive in processing these tacky materials than any previously considered solutions, including stationary screening plants and rotating buckets.

Furthermore, these buckets have been strong enough to withstand the aggressive chemical agents in the screened materials.
